As you consider beginning psychotherapy, I'd like to introduce myself and give you an overview of my professional experience in psychology.  I grew up in Southern California and earned an undergraduate double major in Christian Education and Psychology from Biola University in La Mirada, CA.  Immediately afterwards, I entered graduate training at Rosemead School of Psychology.  I received my MA in Psychology in 2002, and began to work as a part time therapist in addition to my graduate studies.  In 2004, I made the trek across the country to the Norwich University Counseling Center in Northfield , VT for my doctoral internship. During that year I received intensive training focused on contemporary psychoanalytic approaches to therapy.  After receving my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2005, I worked as a therapist at the Center for Individual and Family Therapy and supervised doctoral students in their clinical practicum at the Biola Counseling Center.  In the summer of 2009 relocated with my family to the Denver area.  After moving to Colorado, I began practicing at Southwest Counseling Associates in Littleton, CO, doing both psychotherapy and psychological testing.  I have also taught as adjunct faculty in a number of MA Counseling programs, teaching courses on counseling theories, the integration of psychology and theology, couples counseling, and psychological diagnoses.  I am currently a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Colorado, and aside from providing psychotherapy through Plena Vita, I provide psychological assessment through Southwest Counseling Associates.

It is with great anticipation that I look forward to meeting with the individuals who will be drawn to and helped by what we offer at Plena Vita.  I hope that you will consider working with me, and am happy to offer our initial one-hour consultation free of charge.
